Coffee. It's one of the first things I crave from the moment I wake up. I used to immediately get up, make a pot and savour that first sip....now, I wait a few hours and (try) to sneak in a warm lemon water first. š¦š
I started 2024 with some health prioritiesĀ in mind and one of those was intermittent fasting. I find my energy levels are so much betterĀ when I consume caloriesĀ within a shorter window. My approach has been 8:16 but on weekends I am more like 10:14. The biggest struggle for me has been pushing back the coffee til around 10:00 a.m. but its getting easier. And that much more enjoyable āļøĀ
I maybe have two caffeine bevy's a day, I'm not a heavy user by any means. I like one hot cup of coffee in the morning and by mid afternoon I usually need a boost and love an iced coffee or iced matchaĀ latte. All winter long, same song and dance, hot thenĀ iced. Can't beat it. For me it's such a treat, the taste and smell. I absolutely longĀ for it. It's such a small and enjoyable part of my day I'm not giving up any time soon, or ever.
So tell me, what is coffee to you, a self careĀ ritual you desire or are you a slave to the bean? I wanna know what's in your cup. Tell me in the comments below. For me, I like it creamy and slightly sweet. I refuse to drink it black, only psychos do that. Cheers!Ā
